Imposing our values
We are not imposing our values? Yes and no. Clearly we are not in the strictest sense, in that we are not seeking to impose our religious and moral values upon the people of the rest of the world. But in a larger sense, we are instilling the basic concept of democracy into a region where such a concept has not fully flowered.
